Guess What???

I

AM

A PRESCHOOLER!!!

I was very excited about going to my first day of preschool! When I got to school, I hung up my backpack, found my name tag, washed my hands, and went off to play in the 'kitchen'. When Mom came to find me to say good bye, I threw myself at her, gave her a huge hug, and ran back to play. (Mom and Dad were worried that I would cry when they left...boy were they wrong!).

We read a book, colored, played outside, had crackers and peaches for a snack (yum), and made a sand castle! I got to take out a book from the library AND a made a new friend- Andrew. Oh yeah, there are 6 girls and 7 boys in my class (we counted).

Before I knew it, Mom and Devin came to pick me up. I can't wait for Thursday!!!

Editor's Note: The moment Lily walked in the door she ran to get Teddy to smell him (she missed him a lot), sat him down on the kitchen floor and read her library book to him

A Country Wedding

You're probably wondering why we're so dressed up? We're at a wedding.

This is the church that our Aunt Marie and new Uncle Ross got married in.

This is the happy couple.

All of our aunts, uncles, and cousins were there. Even Grandma and Papa were there- aren't they handsome!

We tried our best to be good and sit still for the ceremony, but...

at some point, the crazies hit us!

And then they brought out the bubbles.

It's SO hard to resist bubbles.

Cousin Julia and I took time out to catch a grasshopper (I'm holding it in my hands)

We love weddings, and this one kept us dancing into the wee hours of the night (that's 8pm for us). Thanks for a great time!

Kindergarten- At Last!

Watch out Kindergarten, here I come! I have my name tag and my backpack, and I'm ready for the bus to pick me up!

I thought this day would never ever come. The very first thing I did when I woke up was run downstairs, take off my pjs, and put on my school clothes.

The bus stop is at the end of our block. Mom, Dad, Lily, and Devin all walked me there (I'm told I'm still too little to go by myself)

There were a lot of kids waiting for the same bus. Some of them were even in kindergarten with me.

The hardest part was waiting for the bus. I thought it would never come...

But it did! I climbed aboard, picked a seat, and was off to meet Mrs Stalock and the rest of my class.

I had a great day at school- we played, read a story, and did crafts. The best part was when we did a census of the class and I learned that there were more boys than girls!!!

I can't wait for tomorrow.

My First Twins Game

Dad and I are heading out to the Twins vs Royals game. This is my very first Twins game ever! I can't wait to see Target Field and one of my heroes Joe Mauer. Justin Morneau is another sweet player but he's still injured.

Can you imagine if you had to wear this glove to field????

Dad and I got to the field a little early and had hot dogs and a hot fudge sundae (it came in a cool Twins helmet). Then we checked out the ball park- it is SO cool!

The Twins won!!! I even got to see Thome hit a home run. That's going to me one day out there on the field....

I love you MN Twins!

Going For the Gold

Don't be alarmed...that is a specially trained gymnastics snake. He helps Ms Frankie teach us balancing by swooping in on us while we're standing on the balance beam. The goal is not to fall off. I really love it when the snake 'knocks' me off!

I'm also getting pretty good at kick hand-stands.

Hanging is by far my most favorite part of gymnastics

Mom thinks I was a bat in a former life.

Here I am patiently waiting for Ms Frankie to come and spin me around the bar

Jumping is my second love. Check out his ginormous trampoline! The best part about it is the 'ice-cube' pit at the end of it...you get to jump right into it. Oh, and it's not really ice-cubes- just foam cubes to cushion your jump.

I am an expert tuck jumper!

I so want one of these for our house...

One of the most important things in gymnastics is sticking your landing. I pretty much have that nailed by now.

It also helps to have a slew of adoring fans cheering you on!

At the end of summer gymnastics I got this medal! I take it everywhere with me. I'm so very proud of it.

And you know what the best part of having a medal is? It makes Jake green with envy.
